Getting married abroad: what to plan for your film

Getting married far from home is a wonderful project, but it needs planning, especially for the visuals. Here are the points to settle so the film matches the place.

Fly your videographer in or hire locally

Working with a videographer who travels gives you a style you have already chosen and one contact from start to finish. A local provider knows the venue well, but their style should be checked on their films.

Travel costs

They depend on the destination, the length of stay and the size of the team. Ask for them to be shown clearly in the quote, separate from the package price.

Venue permissions

Some venues require permission to film or to use specific equipment. Ask the venue, place of worship or local authority well before the trip.

Aerial shots

They are subject to local regulations and weather. Depending on the country, authorization may be required. Apply early with your videographer.

Live streaming for loved ones

If part of your family cannot travel, a live stream of the ceremony lets them be there. Check the internet connection on site, since it determines the result.

Time zones and languages

Consider time zones for relatives watching live, and tell your videographer about the languages and traditions of the day.

Plan the calendar

Arrive a few days early to scout the venue and adjust the plan. We travel anywhere in the world: send us your date and destination.
